Industrial machinery, or machine tool manufacturing only, is a very wide area of application. The following examples should give you an overview of the possible services for a machine tool, such as a milling machine. For injection molding machines, of course, hydraulics and other topics play a major role.

Fluid technology is one of our core competencies. Typical applications in the different simulation disciplines are:
1D System Simulation
Pumps (gear pump, vane pump, axial piston pump, …), hydrostatic gears, hydraulic cylinders/ actuators, valves, throttles, pressure accumulators, cooling and much more. Bearing loads for detailed pumps calculation. Precise calculation of volume flows and energy consumption. Control and stability of the oil circuit. Coupling with multibody dynamics to simulate control-hydraulic-mechanics causality loop.
3D FEA
Strength, deformation of components (e.g. clearance between impeller and housing of a pump). Vibrations, bearings.
3D CFD
Detailed optimization of components.
